About me

I’m Lauren Bond, an Accredited Therapeutic Coach (AMACCPH) with an Honours Degree in Psychology, specialising in anxiety, trauma and chronic stress. Although classically trained and practised as a therapist, I lean more towards a coaching style.

Therapists tend to work with past events in a reparative way. Coaches typically reflect on how the ‘there and then’ has influenced the ‘here and now’, but the focus is not primarily on past events. As a Therapeutic Coach, I use a range of modalities to help my clients reach their goals.

I help people to understand the why behind their thoughts and behaviour and how to overcome difficulties arising from anxiety, depression and the effects of chronic stress.

Working with me will be a good fit if you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, foggy-brained, habitually overthinking, impulsive, out of control of your body, reactive, socially isolated, hopeless or numb.

All of my sessions are available virtually or face to face dependent on best fit.

Environmental & relational trauma

My experience growing up in South Africa taught me a lot about how environmental and relational trauma affects the body. I experienced trauma personally through my relational experiences and professionally through my work in prisons and with people experiencing gang-related violence.

A lot of approaches I tried, both personally and professionally, didn’t seem like a good fit until I discovered the body-oriented approach. When I became aware of how my life experiences influenced my thoughts and behaviour, it all made sense, and it was an incredibly liberating moment.

I am extensively trained in Psychology, Neurology, Psychoneuroimmunology and Sound Therapy. I use sound as a therapeutic tool to slow the heart rate down and help people navigate out of anxious, stressed and depressive states.

Group/CPD sessions

I deliver group sessions and provide workplace training in various settings (see options in Services). I also provide Trauma Informed CPD for therapists.

My work is a fusion of mind and body techniques that improve mental and physical well-being and optimise performance. I provide training in this approach at conferences and events across the country.

With extensive experience in trauma-informed support, stress management and performance coaching, I plan for the most inclusive outcomes for immediate and long-term goals in every setting.
